This Privacy Policy explains how Sun Pixies from Dixie and SunnyJ, Tarot Reader (“SunnyJ,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handle information in connection with sunpixies.com (the “Site”). The short version: this is a promotional site with no accounts, no forms and no shop. It collects almost nothing about you, and the readings themselves happen on Keen, whose own privacy policy governs what Keen holds. By using the Site you agree to this Policy and to our Terms of Use.
1.Who we are
The Site is operated by SunnyJ, an independent tarot advisor who reads on the Keen platform under the Sun Pixies from Dixie name. For the purposes of data-protection law, SunnyJ is the controller of the small amount of personal information described in this Policy. You can reach us at hello@sunpixies.com.
2.Information we collect
Server logs. Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit: your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page or file requested, the referring page, and your browser and device type. These logs are used only for security, troubleshooting and keeping the Site running.
Analytics. The Site uses Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how many people visit, which pages they look at, roughly where in the world they are, and how they found us. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects your IP address and device and browser information. We see only aggregated reports, never a named individual. See Section 4 for details and how to opt out.
Email you send us. If you email hello@sunpixies.com, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. We use it only to reply to you.
That is the complete list. The Site has no registration, no login, no contact form, no newsletter, no comments, and no payment facility.
3.Information we do not collect
We do not collect, and please do not send us, your date of birth, home address, phone number, payment details, government identifiers, or any details about your health, relationships, finances or beliefs. The right place for anything you want SunnyJ to know for a reading is the reading itself, on Keen. SunnyJ never asks clients for personal contact information, on Keen or anywhere else, and will not use this Site or its email address to arrange readings outside Keen.
4.Cookies and analytics
The Site itself sets no cookies of its own. Google Analytics, loaded through our hosting provider, sets analytics cookies (for example _ga and _utma-type cookies) that distinguish one visitor from another and remember whether you have visited before. These cookies do not contain your name or contact details.
You can refuse or delete analytics cookies at any time through your browser settings, or by installing Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The Site works exactly the same without them. Google's handling of analytics data is described in Google's Privacy Policy and at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
The Site also loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser requests those font files, Google receives your IP address and standard request information, as it would for any resource loaded from Google's servers.
5.How we use information
We use the information described above only to: keep the Site secure and working; understand, in aggregate, which pages are useful so we can improve them; and reply when you write to us. We do not use it to build profiles of individual visitors, we do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.
Where the law of your country requires a legal basis for processing, ours is our legitimate interest in running a secure, functional website and in responding to people who contact us, and, for analytics cookies where consent is required, your consent as expressed through your browser settings.
6.Reviews and testimonials
The Reviews page and testimonials elsewhere on the Site reproduce feedback that clients chose to leave publicly for SunnyJ on Keen. Each review is credited by the client's first initial or chosen Keen nickname only, together with the star rating and the date. We do not display real names, contact details or any other identifying information beyond what the client chose to make public on Keen. Reviews may be lightly trimmed for length.
If you left a review on Keen and would prefer it not to appear on this Site, email hello@sunpixies.com with your Keen username and the wording of the review, and we will remove it promptly, no questions asked.
7.Readings and Keen
All readings take place on Keen. Keen, not this Site, holds your account details, payment information, call and chat records, and the feedback you leave. SunnyJ does not record or store readings. Notes SunnyJ keeps to serve returning clients live within her advisor tools on the Keen platform, are visible only to her, and are kept in accordance with Keen's policies. Everything about a reading is treated as confidential and is never shared, quoted or published, except for the reviews you choose to leave publicly (Section 6).
Emails you receive from SunnyJ in connection with a reading are sent through Keen's messaging system, and links in them may bring you to pages and images on this Site. Following such a link is treated like any other visit (Section 2).
Keen's own privacy policy and user agreement govern your relationship with Keen. SunnyJ does not control, and is not responsible for, Keen's data practices.
8.Sharing and third parties
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share it only with:
- Our hosting provider, which stores the Site and its server logs on our behalf;
- Google, through Google Analytics and Google Fonts, as described in Section 4;
- Keen (Ingenio, LLC), only in the sense that the Site links to Keen and readings happen there, under Keen's own policies; and
- Authorities or other parties where required by law, or where necessary to protect the rights, safety or property of SunnyJ, our clients or others.
The Site links to third-party sites such as Keen, Pinterest and social-media platforms. Once you leave the Site, their privacy policies apply, not ours.
9.Retention
Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period for security purposes and then deleted. Google Analytics data is retained according to the settings in our Google Analytics account, currently the default retention period, after which it is automatically deleted. Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up, and is then deleted. Reviews reproduced from Keen remain on the Site until you ask for removal.
10.Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us to: confirm whether we hold personal information about you and provide a copy; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to how we use it; or give it to you in a portable form. Residents of the European Union, the United Kingdom, California and other jurisdictions with privacy laws have specific rights under those laws, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection or consumer-protection authority.
In practice, because the Site collects so little, the most useful requests are “please remove my review” and “please delete my emails,” and we will do both on request. To exercise any right, email hello@sunpixies.com. We will respond within thirty (30) days. We may ask you to confirm your identity in a proportionate way, for example by writing from the address you originally used, before acting on a request.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of in that respect. We do not respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals, because there is no tracking to switch off beyond the analytics described in Section 4, which you can disable as described there.
11.Children
The Site and SunnyJ's readings are intended for adults aged eighteen (18) and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, email hello@sunpixies.com and we will delete it.
12.Security
The Site is served over HTTPS. The small amount of information we hold is stored with our hosting and email providers, protected by their security measures and by access controls on our side. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we hold so little that the exposure is correspondingly small.
13.International transfers
SunnyJ reads for clients around the world, and the Site is visited from many countries. Our hosting provider, Google, and Keen operate servers in the United States and elsewhere, so information described in this Policy may be stored and processed outside your country of residence. Those providers rely on standard contractual clauses and comparable safeguards for such transfers.
14.Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with its “last updated” date. If we ever begin collecting materially more information than described here, for example by adding a mailing list, we will update this Policy first and, where the law requires, ask for your consent.
